OBJECTIVES

1.        To create awareness about Small Savings Schemes, available in Post Office to the people of Tamil Nadu.

2.        To fix target to Small Savings Agents district wise and review their performance by Assistant Director of Small Savings, Corporation of Chennai and PA (SS) to Collector in Districts.

3.        To involve all the Government Department, Local Bodies, State Government Institutions, Boards and Corporations in Post Office Small Savings Schemes.

4.        To conduct competitions on Small Savings among  School Students to inculcate  Thrift and Savings habit.

5.        To co-ordinate with Post Offices and Banks for implementation of Small Savings Schemes through Small Savings Agents.

6.        To create awareness among the people by conducting dramas on Small Savings and to participate in Government Exhibitions in Districts and in All India Tourism and Industrial  Trade Fair at Chennai.

7.        To implement the Special Schemes of Government of Tamil Nadu such as Investor’s Incentive (upto 2012), Local Bodies Incentive (Upto 2007) and Agent Incentives Schemes (Upto 2012)and Awards Scheme for Agents.
